Pobbles is a popular but secluded bay, situated next to Three Cliffs Bay. At high water the bay is a tiny cove with limestone pebbles, at low water there is vast stretch of sand, (see photo). You can walk across to Three Cliffs Bay, or even around to Tor Bay on a low tide.

Access is from Southgate on foot, either from the village past the golf links, half a mile, or across Pennard Cliffs, a one and a half mile walk with spectacular views west along the coast.

Swiming is safe at low water but great care should be taken at high tide. WARNING: Do not swim near or in Three Cliffs Bay at high tide as there are strong rip currents.
