Brandy Cove is situated at the end of a valley that runs down from Bishopston. It is a quiet and secluded cove, twenty minutes walk from Pyle Corner, Bishopston. Alternatively you can walk around the coastal path from Caswell, great care should be taken on this route as the path clings to the edge of steep cliffs. The cove was probably given its name by smugglers during the eighteenth century, as a favourite place to unload their illegal goods. The coastal path continues west around to Pwll Du Bay, about twenty five minutes walk. WARNING: There is no Lifeguard patrol or phone on this beach. |
